I found this pattern on Etsy and can't wait to make my skirt. I don't like wearing shorts in the summer. I am usually in capris or skirts. I didn't realize how many fun fabrics there are out there these days. In the back of my mind I only thought there were interior design fabrics or calico prints. I was wrong. Joel Dewberry and Amy Butler are some of my favorite designer fabrics. You only need 1 yard for this pattern and 1/2 yard for the trim. So basically I can make a awesome skirt for about $18. You can't beat it. A tee shirt and flip flops and I am set for summer.
I am a 35 year old wife to Rob and mother to Matthew, Grace and Will. We live in the South and have one hectic life .. but love every minute of it. I love being a mom, decorating, sewing, paper stationary, cooking, gardening and making things pretty.
