Halloween 2008

Matthew the policeman .. not cooperating for a picture. He didn't want to wear his hat, but by the end of the night he was wearing it .. backwards and wouldn't take it off. He looked cute.

Grace .. my sweet Madeline.

Halloween was great this year. We started the morning with Matthew's school parade. All the kids were so cute in their costumes. (We won't go into deal pre-parade .. trying to get Matthew to wear the costume .. lets just say it was not pretty.) But he did great once he say everyone wearing the costumes at school.

We had a neighborhood party with chili and hotdogs for the kids. Then it was time for trick or treating. Daddy was going to take both kids, while I stayed back to give out the candy. That lasted two houses .. until he realized that Matthew was REALLY into this and Grace couldn't keep up. So Mommy and Grace did the houses on the court and then sat outside together to give out the candy. She didn't mind because she was eating all of her candy and thought it was the best night ever.

We were outside for awhile after trick or treating and then the kids were in bed (instantly - so tired) by 9:30.
